Project Description:	Proposed creation of a more direct pedestrian access from river level to street level occurring at the southwest corner of the International Center Building and for the enhancement of the street level of the embankment west of the building and along both sides of the bypass channel between the Dolorosa Street Bridge and the Commerce Street Bridge. A newly defined urban outdoor space will be created by encouraging reorientation of the buildings along the channel to face the river and by providing amenities, such as planters along the edge of the embankment. A goal is to create the sense of a promenade overlooking the river. It will be linked to Main Plaza by Dolorosa, Market and Commerce Streets. A major east-west pedestrian axis along Dolorosa Street can be redefined with minor modifications and enhancements to the sidewalks, street furniture and plantings from the Dolorosa Street Bridge west to the new UTSA Downtown Campus. Similar improvements along the sidewalks of Commerce Street would provide an alternate pedestrian route.
